RELEASE / WAIVER

I am aware that participating in a kayak/canoe race/tour is a potentially hazardous activity and that I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any race official relative to my ability to safely complete the course.

I assume all risks associated with kayaking and canoeing in this event including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants and/or hazards on the course such as logs, overhanging branches and trees, drowning, the effect of the weather, including low or high temperatures, and/or humidity, traffic, and the conditions of the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Organizers, their Officers, Members and race volunteers, Plumsted Township, Monmouth County Parks System and its Departments and employees, and all sponsors, their representatives, employees, and successors from any and all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event or carelessness of the persons named in this waiver.

Further, I grant to all of the forgoing the use of any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for legitimate purposes.

Section 2 - Registration Fee & Boat Rental Payment

Please select RACE or TOUR here in order to be billed for the proper amount. After your selection, click "Add to Cart". You will be directed to the Shopping Cart checkout section to complete your transaction.

NOTE 1: You can pay for multiple registrations at once by adjusting the Quantity and clicking the Recalculate button on the Shopping Cart page.
NOTE 2: If you have a Coupon Code, when on the Shopping Cart page, enter that code in the Coupon input box, and click the Validate button. Then continue with checkout.

Type of Entry

FEE INFORMATION: For registrations made through the website or manually from NOW through May 7, the fees are $40 for the RACE and $30 for the TOUR. If you register after May 7 and up to Event Day (May 14), the fees are $45 for the RACE and $35 for the TOUR. Event Day registrations will only be taken in-person at the event check-in table. WANT TO FLOAT BUT HAVE NO BOAT???

Greenwave Paddling and Ocean County Parks & Recreation offer rental canoes and/or kayaks for this year's event.

NOTE 1: Ocean County (OC) has 4 canoes remaining which are 2-man boats and will be available only to those who elect the TOUR. Ocean County's Naturalist and one other Ocean County Parks person will act as Tour Guides this year.

NOTE 2: Greenwave Paddling (GP) has 3 kayaks remaining which are 1-man boats and 1 canoe which is a 2-man boat and will be available for either the RACE or the TOUR.

RENTAL INFORMATION:

Ocean County (2-man canoes) and Greenwave Paddling boats (1-man kayaks and a 2-man canoe) are available. Rental fee is $25.00 per boat regardless of type of boat.

Rentals include paddles and personal flotation devices, as well as equipment pick-up at the terminus of the race or tour.
